Arthur D. Palileo, The Founder

Arthur D. Palileo, or “ADP”, started out as a working student. In order to put himself through school, he worked as a messenger, janitor, credit & collection assistant, warehouse & traffic assistant, accounting assistant, and freelance salesman. In 1972, he graduated from the University of the East with a degree in BSBA Major in Accounting; after which he pursued an MBA degree.

After college he became an institutional salesman for an American subsidiary, Scott Paper Inc. In 1973, he became a management consultant for accounting & finance for JC Domingo Corp., an importer and indentor of packaging machinery & equipment and food ingredients & supplies whose products came mostly from Europe. After a year, he joined the company as a full time vice president for finance.

In 1976, ADP became the sales and marketing manager for a distributor of another American subsidiary, 3M Philippines Then, in 1977, he put up his own store, “Aaronson Variety Store”, wherein he sold liquor products, photo developing services, and other novelty goods. The store operated for 12 years. In 1980, ADP started ADP Industries Corporation, a full service marketing & distribution company.

Since then, ADP has been an occasional resource speaker on marketing and entrepreneurship. He was twice nominated for marketing excellence in entrepreneurship by the Philippine Marketing Association’s AGORA Awards Committee, a prestigious, award-giving body composed of seasoned marketing executives and practitioners.
